NoVA Pizzeria Among Best In The Country, New Ranking Says

ARLINGTON, VA — One of the best pizzerias in the country can be found right here in Arlington, according to the 50 Top Pizza guide based on the findings of a team of inspectors who anonymously evaluate pizzerias around the world.

A Modo Mio at 5555 Langston Blvd. in Arlington ranked 37th among the Top 50 pizzerias in America and was the only one from Virginia on the list. This is the second year in a row the guide has included A Modo Mio on its Top 50 list.

On Monday, the pizzeria posted the following message on its Facebook page:

"It was an honor to be the only Virginia and DC pizzeria to be awarded the '50 Top Pizza USA 2026; by 50 Top Pizza on May 27th in NYC! We’ve been included since 2023 and we’re proud to be # 37 out of more than 75,000 pizza restaurants in the US! Thank you to the organizers, our staff, and all of our patrons for making this possible. We are looking forward to achieving even more in the coming year!"

The complete USA 2026 guide features 116 restaurants across 29 different states. New York is the most represented state with 27 restaurants, followed by California with 13 and Florida with 10.

Una Pizza Napoletana, owned by Anthony Mangieri in New York City, was once again named the best pizzeria in the United States of America for 2026. Tied for second place were two California-based pizzerias: Pizzeria Sei in Los Angeles and Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco. Third place went to Razza in Jersey City.

In the Pizza Slice ranking, which features the top fifteen pizza-by-the-slice establishments in the country, first place went to L’industrie Pizzeria in New York. Slice & Pie in Washington, D.C., earned second place, followed by Miami Slice in Miami.

The top fifteen positions in the 50 Top Pizza USA 2026 ranking and the top three in the 50 Top Pizza Slice USA 2026 ranking automatically qualify for the list of the 100 Best Pizzerias in the World, whose members will gather in Naples on September 15th for the 50 Top Pizza World 2026 awards ceremony.
