Snowplow Driver Killed In Loudoun Co. Crash: Sheriff

BLUEMONT, VA — A snowplow driver died in a crash with a pickup truck in Bluemont Monday afternoon, the Loudoun County Sheriff's office said.

A commercial motor vehicle, equipped with a snowplow and salt spreader, and the pickup collided on Leesburg Pike (Route 7) at Blue Ridge Mountain Road.

The snowplow driver — Juan Ferman, 38, of Centreville — was pronounced dead at the scene. One person from the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities did not release the pickup driver's name, or a possible cause of the fatal accident.
