VDOT’s Bristol District update details major bridge, roundabout, and safety projects across Washington County and neighboring areas, urging motorists to watch for signs, flaggers, and changing conditions.

Community members speak out on future of Avoca Branch Library (wjhl.com) — Residents on both sides of the state line packed the Bristol Library’s main branch in Bristol to defend Bristol, Tennessee’s Avoca Branch Library and its role as a community hub. City leaders are weighing whether to repurpose the Avoca building, possibly as a 911 facility, while the library board and council prepare for future decisions.
4. U.Va. Health's telehealth program approaches 1 million visits (cavalierdaily.com) — U.Va. Health’s telehealth program, which once required pediatric cardiologists to travel regularly to Bristol is now nearing 1 million virtual visits statewide. By expanding video and phone care in more than 60 specialties, the system aims to spare Southwest Virginia patients long drives to Charlottesville and improve outcomes in rural communities.
