• 31st Annual Art on the Avenue (alextimes.com) — Del Ray residents can mark their calendars for Art on the Avenue, returning Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. along Mount Vernon Avenue between Hume and Bellefonte. The free, volunteer-run festival will pack the neighborhood with 350 artists, live music, international food, kids' activities, a pie contest, and easy access via free trolleys and bike valet.
