• Hundreds of Del Ray Sewer Lines Need Work—Residents Can Ask Questions Tuesday (thezebra.org) — Del Ray residents face significant sewer rehabilitation work as Alexandria replaces or repairs hundreds of aging pipes, manholes, and laterals in the Del Ray East area. Before construction ramps up, neighbors can meet city staff at Mount Vernon Community School on Sept. 29 to learn when their blocks will be affected, how parking and water use might change, and how they'll be notified.
   

• They Walked. Alexandria Families Got Help. StepALIVE! Returns Oct. 18 (thezebra.org) — Del Ray streets will host two family-friendly 5K routes when ALIVE!'s StepALIVE! Walkathon returns to George Washington Middle School on Sunday, Oct. 18. Neighbors can walk, form teams, or donate to support groceries, emergency aid, and housing stability for thousands of Alexandria families facing financial strain.
