📰 News we're reading

• Geometrix' Playful Lines, Angles, and Shapes at FCA (fcnp.com) — Art lovers in Falls Church can explore "Geometrix," a new Falls Church Arts exhibition on West Broad Street that turns geometry into playful, colorful paintings, photographs, and mixed-media works. Open through October 4, the show connects shapes and patterns to music, literature, science, and nature, inviting visitors to linger over everything from nautilus spirals to violin-inspired abstractions.

• Plans for bus rapid transit buildout include three lines through Falls Church (arlnow.com) — Falls Church could see three new bus rapid transit lines along Routes 7, 50, and 29, as part of a Northern Virginia-wide BRT network envisioned by 2045. City leaders welcome the mobility and economic benefits but stress that operating costs and funding strategies must be nailed down early, with more discussion coming at an October 5 council work session.
