• Northumberland board approves Chesapeake Preservation Area exception, tables another (rrecord.com) — In Heathsville, Northumberland supervisors approved an exception to the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area rules so a Sandy Point homeowner can add a smaller deck, with new plantings and gravel required to manage runoff. The board also delayed a decision on a Reedville waterfront pole barn until June 11 and honored 93-year-old deputy commissioner Connie Livesay for nearly 40 years of county service.
