Customers Foil Armed Robbery Attempt At NoVA Wireless Store: Police
Security camera photos show a suspect who attempted an armed robbery at a Springfield wireless store recently, according to police.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Investigators with Fairfax County's Major Crimes Bureau released security camera images Monday of a suspect they say tried to commit armed robbery at a Springfield cellphone store recently.
Officers responded just before 8 p.m. on Feb. 23 to investigate the report of a robbery at the Cricket Wireless store located a 6330 Springfield Plaza.
"The victim reported that a man entered the business armed with a firearm and attempted to steal merchandise," according to police. "During the incident, the suspect attempted to restrain customers but was overpowered by the customers. The suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving."
