Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31, faces federal charges as the alleged ringleader of a conspiracy to carry out a mass casualty attack on the White House grounds during the UFC Freedom 250 event.

The attack targeted President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, Elon Musk, and other high-ranking officials. Federal prosecutors unsealed charges detailing a multi-state plot disrupted by the FBI just days before the event on the South Lawn in D.C.

Alvarez, using the alias “Shepherd” in an encrypted chat app, allegedly directed planning, recruiting, and operations from Nebraska. Court records confirm he is not a U.S. citizen.

According to the DOJ:

🔷️ The alleged terrorists planned to fly small drones loaded with explosives over the north side of the UFC arena on White House grounds to trigger chaos and force an evacuation.

🔷️ Snipers in the surrounding area would then shoot “high value targets,” including President Trump, Vice President Vance, Elon Musk, members of Congress, and prominent business figures.

🔷️ The group talked about specific maps, sniper positions, drone deployment zones, funding for equipment and “gorilla style warfare” training.

🔷️ Communications started in March with anti-government agitators, shifting to encrypted apps for core members.

🔷️ They considered additional targets like power grids and legislators that are pro-Israel.

🔷️ Alvarez, identified as “Shepherd,” was the person responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the attack.

🔷️ In one of the chats he talked about positioning teams and long-range shots with easy escape routes to the river.“This is the best action I see. Position your teams in the purple dots (counter sniper and drones) Long range (circled area) (great shot) Easy out into the river.”

Shepherd also allegedly posted other messages including replying to another member on making drones with explosives, “As many and as deadly as we can get.”

The FBI found out about the attack when the mother of 19-year-old Tycen C. Proper was concerned about how her son had been stockpiling firearms and his recent online activity. Officials interviewed him at a medical facility on June 11, where he allegedly admitted the terror plot, and gave up others involved.

Multiple people were arrested across multiple states over the weekend. Alvarez was arrested when officials conducted a raid at an abandoned church building in Western Nebraska which he owns. He faces charges of conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States and conspiracy to commit murder.

Others charged:

🔺️ Tycen C. Proper, 19, of Danville, Ohio Allegedly amassed firearms, thousands of rounds, and tactical gear. Discussed the drone-and-sniper plan and potential congressional targets.

🔺️ Bryan Omar Roa, 24, of Calimesa, California. Search of his home and vehicle found a rifle, handgun, tactical gear, and ammunitionPhone messages tied him to the group chat.

🔺️ Michael Alan Thomas, 32, of Pinon Hills, California. Took part in chats about funding drones, Described group “tiers” of operators, and discussed marksmen training. Agents seized rifles, 30-round extended magazines for the rifle, 180 rounds of ammunition, and a pistol.

🔺️ Daniel K. Eskridge, 32, of Kidder, Missouri. Charged with conspiracy to commit murder on White House grounds. Discussed teams of snipers, drone operators, and lookouts. Shared photos of tactical equipment including rifles, helmets, and vests.
