• Hearing Sept. 14 on vacating public right-of-way on Rosser Drive (pagevalleynews.com) — Luray residents on or near Rosser Drive may want to weigh in on a proposal to vacate a public right-of-way between 94 and 96 Rosser Drive at a Town Council hearing on Monday, Sept. 14. Comments can be shared in person, by email, mail, phone, or drop box, and maps of the affected area are available at Town Hall and online.
   

• PCPS addresses concerns regarding carrying heavy school items (whsv.com) — If your child attends Luray Middle School and you’re worried about heavy backpacks, Page County Public Schools says lockers are available on request and most textbooks are provided in classrooms or online. Superintendent Bryan Huber encourages parents and students who feel loads are too heavy to contact the school so staff can offer storage options and reduce what kids carry.
