Multiple Victims After Shooting In Manassas, Suspect At Large: Reports

MANASSAS, VA – Three people were injured Wednesday in a shooting in Manassas and a search is underway for the suspect, according to police and reports.

The three victims are in critical condition following the shooting at United Rentals, located in the 9400 block of Wellington Road, according to reports by Fox 5 and NBC Washington.

NBC Washington, citing Manassas City Police Chief Douglas Keen, says the victims and shooter were coworkers and that police responded to the scene after 7 a.m.

Manassas police said the suspect is Marvin Grant, described as a light-skinned Black man approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall with brown eyes and brown hair. He may be driving a gray Toyota Camry or Toyota Corolla displaying temporary North Carolina registration tags.

Police said residents in the area should stay inside and lock their doors. Anyone who sees the suspect or vehicle should call 911.

Fox 5 reported that police blocked access to Jennie Dean Elementary School as part of their investigation, and the school was put on "secure the building" status. School officials said all staff and students are safe and being directed to Metz Middle School, according to the outlet.
