Prince William County Fire and Rescue System Seeks Community Input

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – Prince William County Fire and Rescue System is inviting residents to help develop its next Strategic Plan.

During upcoming community engagement sessions, residents will have an opportunity to share their priorities, perspectives and ideas about the future of fire and rescue services in Prince William County.

These sessions will be independently facilitated by Emergency Services Consulting International to encourage open and candid community feedback. The planning process also supports the county's 2025-2028 Strategic Plan goal of cultivating a safe and secure community.

Unlike a traditional public meeting, the open house-style sessions will focus on conversation rather than presentations or formal remarks. Residents will be able to participate in facilitated discussions and provide feedback directly to the team supporting the strategic planning process.

"These community engagement sessions give us an important opportunity to hear directly from the people we serve," said Fire and Rescue System Chief Thomas LaBelle. "Residents' perspectives will help us better understand their priorities and expectations as we plan for the future of fire and rescue services in Prince William County."

Community engagement sessions will be held at the following locations and dates:

Wednesday, Sept. 16

Buckhall Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall

Evening Session: 6–8 p.m.

Thursday, Sept. 17

Potomac Library

Feedback gathered through these sessions will help to inform priorities and guide the development of the Strategic Plan for Prince William County Fire and Rescue System.
