Real Estate, Data Center Interests Flood PWC Supervisors With Cash: Report

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – Prince William County Supervisors pulled in more than double the campaign contributions of their neighbors in Loudoun County, with about two-thirds of all donations coming from the real estate industry and data center developers, according to a new report.

The Prince William Times reports that the county’s eight supervisors collected more than $316,000 in the first half of 2026, with more than $214,000 coming from housing and data center developers or related interests.

Supervisor Yesli Vega (R-Coles) took in the most, including through her political action committee, “YES PAC.” Supervisor George Stewart (D-Gainesville) had not filed a campaign finance report as of July 28, nearly two weeks after the July 15 deadline, which could make him liable for fines, the outlet reports.

Tom Gordy (R-Brentsville) and Board Chair Deshundra Jefferson (D-At Large) were the only two supervisors who did not accept contributions from data center companies or residents connected to data center projects, according to the report.
