Daycare Teacher Accused Of Assaulting 2 Toddlers In McLean: Police
An Alexandria woman is accused of pushing one toddler to the floor and striking another in the head at a McLean daycare, police said.
MCLEAN, VA — A daycare teacher is facing charges after police said she assaulted two 2-year-old boys at a McLean child care center.
Wafa Abdelhafiz Abdalla, 61, of Alexandria, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of assault and battery following an investigation at Faz Creative Education Learning Center, according to Fairfax County police. She was released pending a court appearance.
According to police, detectives responded to the daycare at 1776 Old Meadow Road on Thursday after receiving a report of an assault.

Police said Abdalla, who worked as a teacher at the facility, forcefully pushed one 2-year-old boy to the floor and struck another 2-year-old boy in the head with an open hand.
Detectives are investigating whether there may have been other incidents and asked anyone with information to contact the Fairfax County Police Department's Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800, option 4.
