McLean Restaurant Week To Showcase Growing Culinary Scene
McLean Restaurant Week debuts this April, featuring more than 20 local restaurants and special menu offerings.
MCLEAN, VA — McLean is set to host its inaugural Restaurant Week this spring from April 12-19. The week-long event is presented by the McLean Revitalization Corp., an all-volunteer nonprofit focused on improving the downtown area.
More than 20 restaurants in downtown McLean have committed to participate in the event so far. Organizers expect additional businesses to sign up as the dates approach.
Each venue will feature a special menu or promotion during the week. Offerings may include prix fixe dinner options, menu discounts, or complimentary appetizers and desserts.

The downtown area currently hosts a wide range of dining choices. These include quick-serve options and fine dining establishments. The local culinary landscape also features international cuisines from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
“What’s happening in McLean right now feels like a true restaurant renaissance," said Tricia Palaez-Anderson, who manages the 8,500-member McLean Foodies Facebook group. "We’ve moved from limited, predictable choices to a diverse mix of modern, chef-driven spots and it’s all happening steps from home. The energy is real, and the community is showing up for it.”

The McLean Revitalization Corp works to create a vibrant, pedestrian-oriented downtown. The group acts as an advocate for collaboration between businesses, property owners, developers, and Fairfax County government.
In the past two years, the organization has expanded its local impact. It brought back the annual McLean Winterfest Parade and launched a restaurant and retail guide. The group also established the Downtown McLean Business Roundtable to encourage business engagement.
“We encourage all McLean residents and visitors alike to come down to our McLean restaurants during Restaurant Week – and celebrate not only the great cuisine these restaurateurs offer, but also the tremendous commitment they have made to our community,” said Peter Appel, executive vice president of MRC.
