• Participate Learning Names Two PWCS Educators 2026 Teachers of the Year (princewilliamliving.com) — A third-grade teacher at Occoquan Elementary, Merissa Daley, has been named a 2026 Participate Learning Teacher of the Year for bringing Jamaican culture, music, and traditions into her classroom. Alongside fellow honoree Virginia Ormero Gonzalez from Marsteller Middle School, she uses global connections and culturally responsive teaching to broaden Prince William students’ perspectives and sense of belonging.
