1 Injured In Alexandria Shooting, 2 Arrested: Police

One man was injured and two men were arrested after a shooting Sunday morning in Alexandria.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – One man was injured and two suspects have been arrested after a shooting in Alexandria Sunday morning, police say.

According to the Alexandria Police Department, the shooting took place on Sunday morning on the 100 block of Ellsworth Avenue. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury, and two suspects were found and arrested on Emerson Avenue.

DC News Now reports that the shooting occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. and that witnesses described a suspicious vehicle leaving the scene. Police found the vehicle on the 500 block of Dulaney Street, and two men inside tried to flee on foot, but were caught nearby. The victim took himself to a hospital, according to the outlet.
