Alexandria Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash On 495: Police
An Alexandria man died from injuries sustained in an accident on Interstate 495 Saturday morning, Virginia State Police announced.
ALEXANDRIA, VA – An Alexandria man died shortly after hydroplaning and crashing on Interstate 495 early Saturday morning, Virginia State Police said in a release.
According to a VSP release, a 2025 Toyota Rav4 was traveling on I-495 West around the 170-mile marker, near the Springfield Mixing Bowl interchange in Fairfax County, when the vehicle hydroplaned and hit a barrier. The accident occurred at about 4:40 a.m. Saturday.
The driver, Abraham Wrobeh, 24, of Alexandria, was badly injured in the crash. He was taken to a hospital but died of his injuries shortly after, VSP said.

Investigators say Wrobeh was wearing a seatbelt. The crash is still under investigation.
