Arts & Crafts, Beer & Bourbon, Dogwood & Columbine: Weekend Fairs With Local Flavor

Fair season is upon us, bringing crafts, brews and craft brews to Northern Virginia.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – With spring fully arrived in the region, local craft fairs are beginning to bloom. Over the weekend of May 2 and 3, a number will be popping up in Northern Virginia.

Alexandria: The Made in ALX makers market returns to Port City Brewing this weekend. This year, according to organizers, the market will have more than 25 vendors and the opportunity not only to shop but to make your own crafts.

Organizers tell Patch that they get upwards of 500 people at each event. This year, visitors can participate in a live, custom hat styling with Bespoke Brims, make a quick pickle with The Spicy Grasshopper, make charm earrings with Paloma Clay Designs, and take part in more creative play themselves.
