Del Ray Vintage Shop Closing In June

The shop and events space will shut down after a year in business.

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The owner of Stardust Vintage + Gift has announced that the shop will close in June after a year in Del Ray. The shop opened in June 2025.

In a post on social media, owner Amy Sills Eggers attributed her decision to surviving breast cancer and wanting to focus more on her family. In March, she had announced her third cancer-free mammogram since her battle with the disease.

“What a magical year this has been! This little store became a tiny universe of kitsch, color, connection and joy. I have absolutely loved meeting so many fabulous friends. Now it’s time to fill these final weeks with celebration—and bargains!” she wrote.

Eggers invited customers to come in to help her liquidate her current inventory. “Everything is for sale - fixtures, decorations, equipment and supplies,” she wrote.

The shop has done more than sell merchandise: over the past year, it has hosted jazz and comedy nights, vision board workshops, tea and cooking making classes and more. On social media, Eggers clarified all scheduled events and classes will still take place and that tickets remain available.

She also reassured vintage fans that her other business venture next door, the Del Ray Vintage & Flea Market, will continue on the second Saturday of every month.
