FCPS Employee Accused Of Embezzling From Alexandria School
A Fairfax County Public Schools employee is accused of embezzling tens of thousands of dollars from the school system.
LORTON, VA – A Lorton woman is accused of embezzling more than $40,000 from a Fairfax County public school.
Stephanie Gale, 45, of Lorton, is charged with embezzlement and computer fraud, both felonies. She is a finance technician at Hayfield Secondary School in Alexandria.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, detectives launched an investigation in April after the Fairfax County Public Schools auditor general alerted them to a possible misappropriation of funds by an employee at Hayfield Secondary School.

Gale was determined to be the suspect. She turned herself in to police on June 1 and was released on bond.
Gale has been employed with FCPS since 2021. She is now suspended.
