End Summer With Music, Science And Family Fun At Reston KidsFest

RESTON, VA — Reston Town Center will mark the end of summer with KidsFest 2026, a free event featuring live entertainment, hands-on activities and family games.

KidsFest is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Reston Town Center Pavilion and along Market Street. The event will be held weather permitting.

The Pavilion entertainment lineup includes music by Rocknoceros, experiments presented by Mad Science, performances from Adrenaline Dance Studio and a Birds of Prey presentation from Earth Quest. A DJ will also lead interactive games for families, according to an event announcement.

Children will be able to meet costumed characters, have their faces painted and make crafts with Monroe Street Studio at the event’s Imagination Stations. Loudoun Robotics and iCode will offer robot-building activities.

A Touch-a-Truck area will feature construction equipment and Fairfax County emergency vehicles.

Local vendors will offer children’s products, handmade goods and interactive activities. Scheduled participants include Create Favorite Things, Playfully Made, Glitter Goddess Hair Studio, CamTay Corner, Discovery Toys, Cloud Nine Slime Bar and Mathnasium.

Admission and parking in Reston Town Center’s garages are free. The Pavilion is at 11900 Market St. in Reston.
