Please join us at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church for an afternoon concert by Amanda Mole.She is one of the leading concert organists of her generation and the winner of numerous international competitions, including first prize at the 8th International Musashino-Tokyo Organ Competition (2017), first place and audience prize at the Miami International Organ Competition (2016), and first place at the Arthur Poister Organ Competition (2014) and John Rodland Memorial Organ Competition (2014). She has performed at venues across the USA, Europe, and Japan and has been featured in recital at conventions of the American Guild of Organists (2022 Seattle WA) and the Organ Historical Society (2016 Philadelphia PA and 2018 Rochester NY). Her solo recital recording was released in March 2019 on the Naxos label. Come enjoy some world-class organ playing, then stay for a reception.The concert is sponsored by the St. Alban's Muldoon Concert fund and is free. As a musical prelude to our country 250th
anniversary, we present a celebration of the people, stories, and songs that give voice to the American spirit and our unique and varied musical identity.
The program begins with the traditions of Indigenous peoples and continues through the hymns of early settlers and the spirituals born from slavery, music that reflects both struggle and hope. As America grew, immigrant cultures enriched its musical landscape, leading to songs of unity and resilience from the Civil War through World Wars I and II. The journey continues to Broadway, where American stories and aspirations came vividly to life on stage.

The concert concludes with Randall Thompson’s The Testament of Freedom, a powerful musical affirmation of liberty and the enduring ideals that continue to define America and remind us of music's ability to bring people together.

RAHMEIN MOSTAFAVI
Rahmein Mostafavi charms crowds with comic timing and charisma developed throughout two decades of live performance. He addresses social and political topics with a combination of satirical and observational comedy, leaving audiences with a greater sense of purpose, sex appeal and the occasional leg cramp.
Rahmein entered the stand-up world after working as a longtime cast member of “Shear Madness,” the acclaimed Kennedy Center improv/comedy whodunit. His natural joke writing ability, combined with his acting chops, has won him rave reviews in both the Washington area and around the country. He also produces events like a rockstar, bringing live comedy to venues in Maryland, DC and Virginia. He is also the creator and host of the national smash hit Couples Therapy: A Comedy Show.
Rahmein has shared the stage with some of the best comics in the nation, including Dave Attell, Jake Johannsen, Artie Lange, Bert Kreischer, Rich Vos, Jon Lovitz, Tim Meadows, Joe Matarese, Bob Marley, The Sklar Brothers, Jen Kirkman, Red Grant, Godfrey, Joe Torry, Kyle Kinane, Finesse Mitchell, Louis CK, and Maz Jobrani. Amber Hendrix is a Richmond, Virginia-based comedian and producer with the bite force of a juvenile caiman. A writer for satire sites Reductress and The Hard Times, Amber has opened for Dave Attell, Emily Catalano, Rachel Scanlon, and Geoffrey Asmus, among others. She recently featured at the 2025 Raleigh Comedy Festival and performs regularly at the DC Improv.

Olivia Witt is a heterosexual-but-in-a-cool-way comedian from Madison, WI, now residing in Brooklyn, NY. She was both a Madison’s Funniest Comic 2022 Top 5 Finalist and a featured Comic of the Week on the Jackie and Laurie Show. She has opened many people more famous than her including Brian Posehn (Big Bang Theory), Alex Edelman (The Paper), Michael Longfellow (SNL), and Demetri Martin (y’know). In addition to standup, she currently tours a duo sketch variety show that she created with her sister Diana Witt.

He is also in recovery and is in demand for 12 step conventions all over. You may recognize Pete from his numerous appearances on Investigation Discovery shows or from his episode on the classic Americas Most Wanted. He always plays a cop because, well, look at him. Pete can also be seen as a contributor on local panel shows “Like It Or Not” and “The Final 5”, both on Fox 5 DC, offering up humorous takes on the days events.
