NOVA Medical Practice Using Natural Remedies as First Line Treatment
A medical practice with three locations in the region is launching a new approach to wellness.
Leesburg, VIRGINIA, — July 24, 2026 — Today, Virginia Family Medicine announced the opening of its Lifestyle Medicine program — a new practice delivering preventive, evidence-based approach to health that integrates natural remedies as a first line care and modern medicine as secondary treatment to prevent chronic disease and optimize long-term wellness with Ewaul Persaud, MD, FAAFP. A double board-certified Family Physician for 25 years, Dr. Persaud specializes in promoting health and wellness to improve the patient’s health and lifespan.
“We are proud to introduce Dr. Persaud’s Lifestyle Medicine program as a core part of our preventive care offerings. By combining rigorous medical assessment with personalized nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress-management plans, this program helps patients reduce chronic disease risk and build lasting health—shifting care from reaction to prevention” said Kavian Milani, MD, Medical Director of Virginia Family Medicine.

Persaud’s Lifestyle Medicine combines conventional medical evaluation with structured programs in nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and behavior change. The practice uses extended visits, data-driven health coaching, and individualized care plans so patients receive actionable, sustainable strategies rather than episodic symptom treatment.
“Too many patients are treated only after illness appears,” said Dr. Ewaul Persaud. “Our goal is to shift the focus upstream — to prevent disease where we can and restore health where it’s already been compromised, by addressing the lifestyle causes and enabling lasting change.”
