Fairfax Police Shoot Knife-Wielding Man Outside Convenience Store (patch.com) — A City of Fairfax police officer shot a knife-wielding man outside the Wawa on Fairfax Boulevard early Saturday after he allegedly ignored repeated commands to drop the weapon. The man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, no officers or bystanders were hurt, and the Northern Virginia Critical Incident Response Team is now investigating while the officer is on administrative leave.
