ā€¢ Fairfax Boy Scout troop rescued after river flooding (fox5dc.com) ā€” A Fairfax-based Boy Scout troop is safely back home after 28 local scouts were briefly stranded by sudden flooding during a canoe trip on West Virginiaā€™s Cacapon River. No one was hurt, but much of their camping gear washed away, and the troop is asking anyone who finds labeled equipment along the river to contact them so it can be returned.

ā€¢ Man killed in Seven Corners hit-and-run, police search for silver sedan (wtop.com) ā€” A pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run early Tuesday in the Seven Corners area of Fairfax County, near Arlington Boulevard and Patrick Henry Drive. Fairfax County police say the driver fled in a silver sedan and are urging anyone with information to contact the department as they work to identify the victim and the vehicle involved.
