• Woman Fatally Shot In Fair Oaks; Husband Detained, Police Say (patch.com) — Residents in the Fair Oaks area should know police are investigating a fatal Sunday night shooting on Washington Brice Road that authorities describe as a domestic-related homicide. Fairfax County officers say a suspect, believed to be the victim’s husband, has been detained, all parties are accounted for, and there is no ongoing threat to the wider community.
