Vienna Household Receives Strange Package Full Of Fake IDs: Police

A Vienna household received a suspicious package this week.

VIENNA, VA – A Vienna household reported a strange package to police this week: a box addressed to a fake name at their residence that turned out to be filled with fake identification cards.

The Vienna Police Department says officers responded to a report of a suspicious package on the 900 block of Nutley Street SW on the afternoon of July 26. There, they were told that the home had received a package addressed to that residence, but using a fake name, a name not connected with anyone at the residence.

The package was filled with fake identification cards, police say.

Vienna police tell Patch the case is still under investigation and that officers are looking for a suspect involved in the production and transportation of the fake IDs. They told Patch the fake identification cards were manufactured for various people in different U.S. states. Police would not say what type or types of fake IDs were in the box.
