5 VA, DC Restaurants Named Among Top 100 Brunch Spots In US

Five restaurants in Virginia and Washington, D.C., known for their mid-morning offerings, have been included among the top 100 brunch restaurants in the country, announced this week by the restaurant platform OpenTable.

Restaurants in Virginia and D.C. that made the list are:

Bistro L'Hermitage, Woodbridge

L'Hermitage describes itself as a great escape from the hectic DC restaurant scene, promising “relaxed good taste” with the polish and sophistication of fine dining.

L'Auberge Chez Francois, Great Falls

Also voted the most romantic and best French restaurant in the D.C. metropolitan area by Washingtonian magazine, L'Auberge Chez Francois offers classic and contemporary French cuisine.

Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez Francois, Great Falls

At the brasserie, diners may enjoy traditional, hearty Alsatian dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

OpenTable’s list is based on more than 10 million diner reviews collected between March 1, 2025, and Feb. 28, 2026.

To make the cut, restaurants had to clear a minimum number of reviews, and then they were put under a detailed microscope. OpenTable looked at everything from overall diner ratings and how many five-star reviews a spot racked up, to how often people set alerts for reservations or booked tables in advance. They also considered how full restaurants typically are and how often diners searched for them directly.
