ā¢ Belfair's Sweetwater Park opens to public (masoncounty.com) ā A new Sweetwater Creek Waterwheel Park has opened across Highway 3 from the Theler Wetlands in Belfair, offering trails now and promising an ADA-accessible fishing dock, restrooms, and picnic areas as development continues. Led by the Hood Canal Salmon Enhancement Group and Port of Allyn, the project will also restore salmon passage around the historic waterwheel while managing minor legacy contamination from an old gas station on the site.
