• Decision on dam, levees postponed until further notice (thenewstribune.com) — Flood-control decisions that could reshape life in Chehalis are on hold, as the Chehalis Basin Board indefinitely postponed choosing between a Pe Ell-area dam, a levee system around Centralia and Chehalis, or no major project. Members want more complete environmental and design information, including on the LAND levee alternative and Skookumchuck Dam modifications, before endorsing any long-term strategy.
