• College Place settles final Mojonnier Road right-of-way deal (elkhornmediagroup.com) — College Place has finalized the last right-of-way deal needed for the Mojonnier Road project, clearing the way to open bidding and lock in state transportation funding this fiscal year. The upgrade will widen the road to three lanes and add turn lanes, bike paths, sidewalks, landscaping, and safer, lighted crosswalks, promising smoother and safer trips for local drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

• College Place police to reactivate Flock cameras after months-long shutdown (applevalleynewsnow.com) — College Place police plan to turn their eight license plate reader cameras back on around June 15, after a months-long shutdown over privacy concerns. New state rules now restrict use to serious investigations, missing persons, and parking enforcement, while the city weighs whether to keep the program after grant funding ends in 2026. Residents can expect renewed auto-theft enforcement under tighter privacy safeguards.

• WESCOM launches survey to gauge public's 911 knowledge (elkhornmediagroup.com) — Residents in the Walla Walla–College Place area are being asked to take a short online survey about how and when they use 911, with responses accepted through June 15. WESCOM and state partners hope to clear up confusion, improve public education, and speed up emergency responses.
