• ESD lockdowns caused by report of man with firearm (courierherald.com) — Several Enumclaw schools, including Sunrise, Southwood, Enumclaw Middle, and Enumclaw High, spent about two hours in modified lockdown after reports of an armed individual near Sunrise Elementary. Law enforcement and school staff followed emergency protocols, quickly located the person, and determined there was no threat before giving the all-clear. 
• Enumclaw received flood reduction grants (courierherald.com) — Enumclaw has secured $663,000 in King County flood reduction grants to replace the aging Battersby West culvert, aiming to reduce upstream flooding and improve salmon passage near town. The city will add $100,000 of its own funds, while a nearby project at Neely Mansion also received county support for new flood protections.
• Week 4: TNT's high school football Top 10 team rankings in Washington (thenewstribune.com) — Enumclaw's football team has climbed to No. 6 in the statewide 3A rankings and now hosts No. 4 Federal Way at Pete's Pool in a marquee Week 4 matchup. The list also shows several nearby programs rising or falling, giving Enumclaw fans a sense of the broader competition this season.
