• Pierce County bridge down to one lane for crews to inspect 'every inch' (thenewstribune.com) — Expect one-lane closures on the Fox Island Bridge Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. as consultants begin an in-depth inspection that will guide future repairs and replacement plans. Two more inspection visits with daytime lane closures are planned for September and October, and Pierce County is still weighing costly replacement options and related changes to the Warren Drive intersection.
