• Fox Island Bridge open house focuses on Towhead Island and proposed roundabout (gigharbornow.org) — Plans to replace the aging Fox Island Bridge could reshape access, traffic patterns, and even Towhead Island's beach and boat launch for nearby Gig Harbor-area residents. At a packed open house, Pierce County detailed costly replacement options, a possible roundabout unlike the unpopular Burnham Drive interchange, and a new advisory panel that includes Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One's prevention chief.
