• Dr. Francis Thomas HannickMarch 2, 1944 — April 4, 2026 (thedailyworld.com) — Hoquiam residents are invited to honor Dr. Francis Hannick, a 1962 Hoquiam High School graduate, at his funeral Mass on Thursday, April 23, at Our Lady of Good Help Catholic Church on L Street. The longtime educator and tree farm steward, born in Aberdeen and later living in Seabrook and Tumwater, is remembered for his dedication to family, forestry conservation, and teaching. 
• Drug Task Force makes arrests, confiscates weapons in Aberdeen (thedailyworld.com) — Hoquiam residents should know their police department helped a regional task force shut down an alleged drug house in Aberdeen, where two people were arrested and seven firearms seized. The operation, led by the Grays Harbor Drug Task Force, also resulted in additional charges when more drugs were found during jail booking and two others were taken in on felony warrants.
