• Seattle Leaders Push Back on Plan to Shortchange City in New Countywide Tax (theurbanist.org) — A new 0.1% King County transportation sales tax could send far less money to Seattle than the city generates, with some of those dollars redistributed to suburbs like Kenmore, Shoreline, and Kirkland. Seattle officials and advocates are pushing back against a proposed 15% cap on the city’s share, arguing it’s inequitable and could strain regional cooperation over future transportation funding.
