• Electric bikes give MLPD faster access to hard-to-reach areas (columbiabasinherald.com) — Moses Lake police officers will be patrolling on new fat-tire electric bikes this spring and summer, giving them faster access to alleys, trails and crowded downtown events like Spring Festival. The e-bikes, outfitted by city public works with full patrol lighting and built-in locks, are already boosting officer visibility and community contact, with 19 public interactions in just two hours on their first test patrol. 
• St. Rose breaks ground on prayer garden, wedding space (bellinghamherald.com) — Families connected to Our Lady of Fatima in Moses Lake may soon have a new option for outdoor Catholic weddings, thanks to a sacred garden and chapel space under construction at St. Rose of Lima School in Ephrata. The garden, supported by regional parishes including Moses Lake’s, will feature native plants, a Mary grotto, and an altar for Mass when it opens later this summer.
