⢠11 Washington Summer Festivals Locals Look Forward To Every Year (everafterinthewoods.com) ā Ocean Shores will buzz June 26ā28 as the Sand and Sawdust Festival takes over the beach and Convention Center with sand sculptures, chainsaw carving, and local vendors. Itās one of 11 Washington summer festivals featured, but stands out as a roadātripāworthy coastal celebration right in our backyard, perfect to pair with a beach walk and smallātown exploring.

⢠Ocean salmon fishing at Ilwaco, Westport-Ocean Shores, La Push, and Neah Bay (Marine Areas 1, 2, 3, and 4) opens June 20 (wa.gov) ā Ocean Shores anglers will see Washingtonās coastal salmon season open June 20, with WestportāOcean Shores included in Marine Area 2 and local boat basins governed by new 2026ā27 rules. The state has slightly higher Chinook and coho quotas, and WDFW is rolling out optional electronic catch record cards alongside updated sport-fishing regulations.

⢠Clifton D. Todd (thedailyworld.com) ā Ocean Shores residents are reminded of Clifton D. Todd, a longtime Grays Harbor law enforcement leader and community volunteer who served on the Ocean Shores Park Board and Civil Service Commission. The 100āyearāold Navy veteran is remembered for decades of public service, a long marriage to his wife Helen, and a large, closeāknit family.
