With an $87,000 state grant, the county will offer sensory kits with headphones and weighted blankets, plus new calming spaces like an art barn quiet area and a retrofitted “sensory inclusive trailer.”

LOCAL SPORTS: Port Angeles Unveils Hall of Fame Class; KONP Kicks Off Spring Sports Coverage (myclallamcounty.com) — Port Angeles High School has named its newest Roughriders Sports Hall of Fame class, highlighted by Peninsula College women’s basketball coach Alison Rose and several standout former athletes. KONP will launch its spring coverage with Roughrider baseball this Saturday and feature upcoming Port Angeles and Sequim baseball, soccer, track, softball, and tennis matchups throughout late April and early May.
