• Stolen puppy Sherbert reunited with owner after weeklong investigation (mynorthwest.com) — Pierce County deputies arrested a 35-year-old suspect at an apartment complex on Pioneer Way East in Puyallup after he allegedly stole an Australian Labradoodle puppy from a Bonney Lake breeder. Following a weeklong investigation using photos and vehicle images, deputies recovered the puppy, Sherbert, safe and returned it to the owner, offering some reassurance about local law enforcement's follow-through.

• Police searching for missing man with dementia last seen in Pierce County (thenewstribune.com) — Pierce County deputies are asking residents, including those in nearby Puyallup, to watch for 81-year-old David Schreiber, a vulnerable man with dementia last seen walking away from his Parkland home. He was wearing blue jeans, a bright red jacket with a blue hood, and a blue cap; anyone who spots him should call 911 immediately.
