• Bats Found Inside Puyallup's Edgerton Elementary School (memesita.com) — Families in Puyallup should know that Edgerton Elementary remains open while pest control crews work daily to seal gaps after at least eight bats were found in the building since mid-September. Health officials recommended precautionary rabies treatment for one staff member and one student but say there's no medical reason to close the school, urging parents to report any bat contact immediately. 
• BECU Plans New Pierce County Location for Spring 2027 (cutoday.info) — A new BECU Neighborhood Financial Center is slated to open in spring 2027 in the Frederickson area near Puyallup, bringing tellerless banking, loan services, and 24-hour ATM access closer to local residents. The 3,500-square-foot branch will support about 19,500 nearby members and reflects BECU's growing investment in Pierce County communities and nonprofits.
