📰 News we're reading

• St. Rose breaks ground on prayer garden, wedding space (bellinghamherald.com) — Quincy parishioners from St. Pius XII help support a new sacred prayer and wedding garden being built at St. Rose of Lima School in Ephrata, with plants nurtured in a Quincy greenhouse. The outdoor chapel-style space, expected by late summer, will offer Catholic couples a rare approved outdoor wedding venue and a quiet prayer spot for students and parish members.

• Survey: Communities Report Largely Positive Experiences with Microsoft Data Centers (lowellsfirstlook.com) — Microsoft’s oldest data center is right here in Quincy, operating since 2007, and a new survey of Microsoft host communities reports largely positive experiences, especially on tax revenue and limited noise or light issues. While the survey focuses on a proposed site in Michigan, its findings about water use, construction impacts, and corporate partnership give Quincy residents useful context for understanding how our own long-running facility compares.
