• City of Renton looks to buy property for resource center (rentonreporter.com) — Renton officials are weighing an $8.5 million purchase of an East Valley Highway office property to fast‑track a new stabilization center and shelter, with a public hearing set for Sept. 14. The city plans to centralize homelessness and behavioral health services there, funded partly by an existing local tax, and is modeling its approach on Auburn's stricter, results‑driven program led by new Human Services Director Kent Hay. 
• King County announces $900,000 health fund for immigrants impacted by enforcement (komonews.com) — A new $900,000 King County fund will be managed in part by the Renton Regional Community Foundation to support immigrants and refugees in South King County impacted by federal enforcement. The foundation will match at least $250,000 and lead implementation through 2027, channeling money to local organizations for basic needs, safety planning, and mental health support.
