• Sedro-Woolley splits operations division into two groups (tri-cityherald.com) — Sedro-Woolley’s Public Works Operations Division is being split into two focused groups, one for streets and stormwater and another for parks, facilities, and the cemetery. City leaders say the change should better handle growing stormwater rules and expanding park space, while a new supervisor will be chosen by the end of May.

• Wagoner to run for seat on Skagit County Board of Commissioners (thenewstribune.com) — Sedro-Woolley residents may soon see former mayor and current state Sen. Keith Wagoner seeking to represent them on the Skagit County Board of Commissioners, District 3. The district includes Sedro-Woolley and Concrete, and Wagoner says he plans to keep serving in the state Senate through his current term if elected commissioner.
