Master Gardener Foundation to hold spring plant sale (sequimgazette.com) — Gardeners in Sequim can stock up on veggie starts, native plants, and more at the Master Gardener Foundation’s Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, May 2, at Woodcock Demonstration Garden on Woodcock Road. Proceeds support local youth programs, community gardens, and free gardening education, and Master Gardeners will be on hand with expert advice throughout the sale.

Tickets go on sale Friday for OMC's Duck Derby (sequimgazette.com) — Sequim residents can buy Duck Derby tickets at local Safeway and Sound Community Bank branches, helping support Olympic Medical Center’s equipment, cancer care, and scholarships. The May 17 fundraiser features cash prizes, a VID party, and a chance to win a new Toyota Corolla, with Safeway honored as this year’s “Top Duck” for decades of support.
   

3. Clallam County's health inspections for March 2026 (sequimgazette.com) — Several Sequim restaurants and food businesses were inspected in March, with some earning perfect scores and others cited for food-safety training, certifications, and handwashing issues. Local spots like Pacific Pantry, Barhop Artisan Pizza Sequim, and Arco AM/PM received specific correction deadlines. Residents can use these results to gauge how their favorite eateries are doing.
   

4. Sequim Man Arrested After Highway Chase, Drug Bust in Jefferson County (myclallamcounty.com) — A 43-year-old Sequim resident was arrested in Jefferson County after allegedly fleeing a state trooper and being found with large amounts of suspected fentanyl and meth, plus a shotgun with its serial number removed. The man, whose license was suspended with an ignition interlock requirement, now faces multiple drug and firearm charges after additional stolen property was also discovered.
