📰 News we're reading

• After Months-Long Vacancy, Snoqualmie Appoints Award-Winning City Clerk (livingsnoqualmie.com) — Snoqualmie has filled its long-vacant City Clerk position by appointing award-winning municipal clerk Kimberly Agfalvi, who was sworn in at the April 14 City Council meeting. She brings decades of records and council support experience and will oversee agendas, public records requests, and legal document management, restoring full clerk services that had been covered by deputy and temporary staff since January.

• Hands-on history (bellinghamherald.com) — High school students can apply now for a free four-day Youth Heritage Project in Ellensburg this July, but last year’s session took them to Snoqualmie Falls and the Snoqualmie area to explore tribal history, hydropower, and rail heritage. The program blends field trips, group projects, and public speaking to introduce teens to careers in history, museums, and cultural resources.
