• Street racers hit 107 mph in University Place, dashcam gives deputies key evidence (kiro7.com) — Two 25-year-old drivers were arrested after allegedly racing a Bugatti and a Porsche at up to 107 mph on Bridgeport Way in University Place, where the speed limit is 35. Deputies used new state street-racing laws to seize both cars and a dashcam that captured the race, and officials warn such high-speed runs endanger drivers, pedestrians, and nearby businesses along the busy corridor. 
• Buffs Open In Second At Chambers Bay - University of Colorado Athletics (cubuffs.com) — Chambers Bay in University Place is hosting the Leadership and Golf Invitational, where the University of Colorado women's team sits second after a grueling 36-hole opening day. With Colorado chasing Tulsa by two strokes and several Pac-12 and regional programs in the field, Tuesday's final round will decide whether the Buffs can overtake the leaders on the challenging links-style course above Puget Sound.
