• Dispose of hazardous residential waste in Castle Rock in April, Kalama in May (thenewstribune.com) — Woodland residents will have a free hazardous-waste drop-off event on Oct. 24, with specific location details coming later, and similar events happening sooner in Castle Rock, Kalama and Ryderwood. All events are for residential waste only, excluding business, farm and church materials, and certain dangerous or unlabeled items. A permanent Longview facility also accepts hazardous waste twice weekly.
