• Man shot by Thurston County deputy appears in court after release from hospital (theolympian.com) — A 68-year-old man was shot by a Thurston County deputy on a property southeast of Yelm and is now jailed on suspicion of first-degree assault after leaving the hospital. Investigators say body camera footage shows him allegedly pointing a revolver at the deputy during a trailer fire response, and a Yelm police officer later helped with the arrest as a regional critical-incident team reviews the shooting.
