• Follansbee eyes new state grant to expand demolition of dilapidated buildings (wtov9.com) — Follansbee officials are preparing to seek another state grant to continue tearing down unsafe, dilapidated buildings, including more properties like the recently cleared Main Street lot. Councilman Nick Cekinovich wants council to vote next week on reviving a 50-50 cost-sharing option with willing property owners, which could speed up demolitions if new funding comes through.
